Free Day in Cannes-Saturday, April 28, 2007
April 28, 2007
Hello from GSE
We have a free day today in Cannes. Caroyln and Sharon are relaxing with their families and Mark, Tura, and I are exploring the area. Yesterday, we learned about the French Justice System in Grasse. We actually sat through a criminal trial and the system is extremely different here. There were 3 judges based on the severity of the crime and also a state representative.
We had lunch at an Italian cafe and dinner at French Antilles restaurant. Both were interesting experiences.
Au revoir for now. Tomorrow we are moving onto Nice.
Tracy
Bonjour Tracy! Ca va? Sounds like you’re having a marvelous experience. I’ll bet your French is fantastic by now. It’s pretty quiet down the “West Wing.” Naomi and I are almost done with the Ed Tech grant — yea! Be glad you’re not next door to hear our chatter. Since you can’t drink much now, I’ll be happy to take any French wine off your hands when you get home.
Enjoy your ambassadorship!
Au revoir! Carol
Tracy,
It sounds as though you are having such a wonderful time. Just in case you forgot–WATODEN is meeting in Madison May 1 & 2. We will try to have a good time without you. You try to enjoy yourself too. I can’t wait to hear about your adventures.
